Another great day, although well splattered with factor 60 sun cream and a hat!
After Archie delivered us the newspapers, Brenda & I nipped up/down Carn Dearg in quick time before second breakfast then I whizzed up/down Beinn Uri...?(sorry Can t spell it) in 50 mins to find the Doughnut Queen, Dot, back in attendance with fresh supplies. Then it was a fast freewheel down through Roy Bridge to the other side of River Spean to catch Sgurr & Cruach Innse with Archie. Great trip on the mtb's fpr a fast descent back to the van, and finished the day with a hours road bike to Killfinnan.That's me finished this side of the Great Glen!
My apologies for rubbish spelling and attention to detail, but my 14oz sirloin steak has just arrived at the table in the fine Stonlossit Hotel, with a superb pint of Atlas Brewerys Equinox, so must dash.

You are fairly tucking away the grub, Manny. At least you won't wear away. Remember, the further north you go the better it gets!
Congrats on a real milestone Manny, hope the weather holds. Those grassy hills are behind and its time for the rough and rocky stuff once more...

Young Manuel the junior, no doubt you are correct, but you have to remember that your oldman is slightly lacking the brain cells of you or your good brother Duncan, hence why he participates in crazy stuff like this. He's still your dad right enough and the pair of you will need to put up with him, no matter how mad. Cu you guys on the last hill, when I guess we'll all give yir dad a kiss - yuk !!
Yesterday sounds like a bit of a doddle, I can't understand why I was sweating buckets on the wee stroll up Sgurr & Cruach Innse!
Our Man is certainly going strong, the gammy leg is no longer sair and he just seems to be cruising along.
His route finding is rubbish though!

Manny you were very restrained when dealing with the Kilfinnan farmer who wanted money to let you stay the night with the van! Then with last orders for food in the Stronlossit looming the camper van took off along the road as though it had acquired a jet engine. Manny's chosen camp site (the viewpoint car park in Glen Roy) was midge free but extremely windy. The only one who managed a nights sleep was Frank the dog, who didn't seem to notice our tent trying to take off, while Brenda and Manny in the van had a pretty rocky night. A bleary eyed Manny set off from Kilfinnan with Don. By the time they arrived at Achnasaul by Loch Arkaig they had been through blazing sunshine, torrential rain, hail and snow. (photographic evidence to follow). A road bike to Glen Loy followed for an easier route than the planned one up Beinn Bhan. Brenda & I took the bike from Fassfern up to Glen Sulaig Bothy. Eventually a drookit Manny arrived at Fassfern where he was met by his parents and the boys. Don arrived shortly after, not having the luxury of a bike for the last bit. There are now has less than 100 hills left, keep up the good work, hope you can survive the next 10 days or so until the next doughnut supplies arrive! Have added a few more photos. Dot
The farmer at Kilfinnan has a history.He has tried to charge folk for parking on the public verge for years.A few cars have been "mysteriously" vandalised whilst their owners were on the hill after refusing to pay him.
If he tried to charge you for parking on a public road then report him to the council,the police and the tax man.
Glad you didn`t let him get away with it :)
